About this wine

Palladino’s Nebbiolo d’Alba offers a more immediate take on the grape than their Barolo. The 2022 shows pale garnet colour, with aromas of cherry, raspberry, violet and licorice. The palate is medium-bodied, structured and sapid, with present but fine tannins and a persistent, slightly savoury finish. It’s a textbook Nebbiolo for everyday drinking that still carries the stamp of serious Barolo terroir.

Cherry, raspberry, violet and licorice.

On the palate

Medium body, firm but fine tannins, savoury finish with red-fruit and herbal notes.

Palladino

Palladino is a traditional estate in Serralunga known for honest, classically structured Barolo. Farming historic crus such as San Bernardo and Ornato, they produce wines with depth, iron-tinged minerality and firm yet noble tannins. Their Barbera, Nebbiolo and whites show the same straightforward, terroir-first philosophy.
