About this wine

Brut Tradition is the core cuvée of R.H. Coutier: roughly 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from Ambonnay Grand Cru, with a portion of reserve wine and ageing of around three years on lees. It shows ripe orchard and stone fruit, hints of red berries, brioche and toasted nuts, with pronounced chalky minerality from Ambonnay’s limestone soils. The palate is medium-bodied and creamy, balanced by bright acidity and a dry, mouth-watering finish.

R.H. Coutier

R.H. Coutier is a grower-producer in the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, working mainly with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from family-owned vineyards. The Champagnes are generous yet finely structured, showing Ambonnay’s natural richness alongside good tension and a clear sense of place. They’re expressive, thoughtfully made wines that comfortably overdeliver for the level.
