About this wine

The Rosso di Montalcino is crafted from the same north-east-facing vineyards as Ridolfi’s Brunello, but with a shorter ageing regime to keep the fruit front and centre. The 2023 shows clear notes of dark berries and cherries, violet, sweet spice and a gentle balsamic touch on the nose, while the palate is elegant yet flavourful, with bright acidity, fine, salty tannins and a long, sapid finish. Aged in large oak for just one year, it offers a pure, transparent expression of Sangiovese that bridges the gap between easy-drinking and serious, terroir-driven red.
