About this wine

Vigna Gittori is a high-altitude, stony site in Gaiole that yields very refined Sangiovese. The 2020 combines bright cherry and raspberry fruit with rose, blood orange, savoury herbs and a chalky, mineral edge. The palate is medium-bodied but intense, with linear acidity and fine, firm tannins that promise excellent ageing.

Tasting Note

Producer notes emphasize its purity of red fruit, floral aromatics and long, mineral frame.

In the glass

Bright, medium-deep ruby.

In the nose

Red cherry, raspberry, rose, blood orange and savoury herbs.

On the palate

Taut and precise with juicy acidity, fine tannins and a long, mineral, slightly saline finish.

Riecine

A thoughtful, high-elevation Sangiovese specialist in the hills of Gaiole. Riecine farms organically and focuses on purity, tension, and precision rather than weight. The wines show bright red fruit, fine tannins, and a cool, lifted profile that reflects their altitude. Elegant, linear, and honest. Riecine stands among the most distinctive modern voices in Chianti Classico.
