About this wine

Gran Reserva 904 2015 is a blend of about 90% Tempranillo from 40-plus-year-old vineyards in Briñas, Labastida and Villalba with 10% Graciano from the Montecillo vineyard. The wine fermented in stainless steel with full malolactic before spending over four years in American oak barrels crafted in-house, followed by around five years of bottle ageing. The result is a highly perfumed Rioja with plums, mulberries and red berries layered with mushroom, caramel, sweet tobacco and balsamic notes. On the palate it is medium-bodied, silky and incredibly precise, with fine tannins, vibrant acidity and a very long, graceful, savoury-sweet finish.

Medium-bodied, extremely silky and elegant; sweet red fruit, savoury tobacco/cedar, lively acidity and a very long, refined, savoury-sweet finish.

La Rioja Alta

La Rioja Alta is a classic Rioja house, famed for its long-aged Reservas and Gran Reservas that epitomise traditional elegance. Extended barrel and bottle aging bring together red fruit, spice, leather and fine, silky tannins. The wines are both comforting and complex, built to age gracefully for decades.
