About this wine

The 2019 Cerequio captures the generosity of this La Morra cru with Voerzio’s trademark concentration. The nose shows raspberries, flowers, mint and a twist of citrus and orange peel. On the palate it is the softest of the Voerzio Baroli, but still framed by plenty of tannin and vibrant acidity, with kirsch, red cherry and spice filling out the mid-palate. A hedonistic yet structured Barolo, approachable earlier than some of his other crus.

Roberto Voerzio

Roberto Voerzio is one of Barolo’s most influential modernists, famed for extreme low yields and meticulous vineyard work. The wines are intensely concentrated yet surprisingly refined, with glossy fruit, fine-grained tannins and impressive purity. His Baroli from crus like Brunate, La Serra and Rocche dell’Annunziata have become cult references for opulent, collectible Nebbiolo.
