About this wine

Priavino is Voerzio’s reference Dolcetto, from very low yields and meticulous farming. The 2023 shows bright ruby colour and an intense nose of cherry, plum and wild berries with floral and herbal touches. On the palate it’s surprisingly structured for Dolcetto, with generous fruit, fresh acidity and firm but ripe tannins. Voerzio himself describes Dolcetto as “acidic, juicy and fresh, medium-bodied and uncomplicated in the best sense.”

Critics describe ripe cherry and plum aromas, concentrated but fleshy palate and strong, well-integrated tannins, ideal for rich pasta and stews.

The wines are intensely concentrated yet surprisingly refined, with glossy fruit, fine-grained tannins and impressive purity. His Baroli from crus like Brunate, La Serra and Rocche dell’Annunziata have become cult references for opulent, collectible Nebbiolo.
