About this wine

Le Vigne is Luciano Sandrone’s classic Barolo blend, sourced from several high-quality vineyards – Vignane, Baudana, Villero and Merli. In 2012 the wine shows an expansive nose of red fruits, violets and pomegranate, followed by an expressive, balanced palate where ripe tannins and fresh acidity keep the warm-vintage fruit in perfect check. Layers of cherry, graphite, licorice and spice build with air, and the finish is long, sweetly tannic and savoury. This “Sibi et Paucis” bottling spent an extra six years in Sandrone’s cellar, making it even more harmonious on release.

On the palate

Sandrone

A master of balance between tradition and modern technique. Luciano Sandrone built his reputation on clean, expressive Nebbiolo with supple tannins and vivid fruit. Cannubi Boschis and Le Vigne show how structure and charm can coexist when raw material and élevage are tuned perfectly. The style is elegant, focused, and consistently one of the most reliable in the region.
