About this wine

The 2015 Sassicaia (Cabernet Sauvignon with Cabernet Franc) shows ripe blackcurrant, sage, cinnamon, exotic spice and cedar. The palate is full-bodied and dense yet extremely refined, with a ripe, rich tannin backbone and long, savoury finish. It is regarded as one of the top Sassicaias of recent decades.

James Suckling praises the explosive blackcurrant, herb and spice aromatics and powerful yet beautifully balanced palate; Robert Parker scores it in the high 90s, highlighting its richness and structure.

Tenuta San Guido

The birthplace of the Super Tuscan movement. Tenuta San Guido produces Sassicaia, one of Italy’s most important wines: Cabernet Sauvignon shaped by maritime breezes, gravelly soils, and long aging. The style is understated, elegant, and built for decades. A benchmark in global fine wine.
