About this wine

Sottimano’s Cottà comes from a 2.8-hectare parcel of old vines in Neive, farmed organically and vinified with native yeasts. The 2015 vintage is generous and complex, offering dark cherry, plum and liquorice with hints of menthol, forest floor and spice. Long maceration and two years in French oak (mostly used) bring fine, ripe tannins and a creamy texture without overwhelming the fruit. This is an elegant yet powerful Barbaresco that will reward both near- and mid-term drinking.

Sottimano

A thoughtful, artisanal estate in Barbaresco. Sottimano works organically, ferments with native yeasts, and ages in mostly used barrels to preserve site expression. The wines are fragrant, detailed, and built on finesse. Each cru shows its own personality with clarity. A top address for drinkers who appreciate purity and precision over power.
