About this wine

The 2018 Barolo Campè Vürsù is La Spinetta’s boldest Barolo, crafted from a south-facing cru in Grinzane Cavour. The vintage still delivers impressive depth: layers of dark cherry and plum, tobacco, leather, menthol and licorice, with hints of black truffle and sweet wood spice. The palate is full-bodied and fleshy, with ample extract and chewy tannins that frame the fruit without overwhelming it. Despite the power, there’s a clear line of freshness that keeps the wine from feeling heavy. This is a Barolo that will reward patience but already shows its striking, “king of wines” personality.
