About this wine

Monticol is Terlan’s flagship Pinot Nero Riserva, sourced from old vineyards at 450–600 metres where cool breezes preserve freshness even in warm summers. The 2022 shows an intense ruby colour and a multifaceted nose of wild strawberry, raspberry and cherry woven with flinty, spicy nuances. On the palate it’s medium-plus in body but wonderfully balanced, combining ripe red fruit with mineral elegance, fine-grained tannins and a long, exciting finish. This is a serious, Old World Pinot that can be enjoyed now or cellared for several years.

Kellerei Terlan

Cantina Terlano is a renowned cooperative in Alto Adige, famous for age-worthy, mineral whites from steep, Alpine vineyards. Wines like Vorberg, Monticol and Terlaner blends combine ripe fruit with cutting acidity and a distinct smoky, saline note. The cellar’s library tastings have proved these whites can evolve beautifully for decades.
