About this wine

Arbossar comes from 90–100-year-old Carinyena vines on cool, north-exposed llicorella slopes, farmed biodynamically and vinified with whole clusters and indigenous yeasts. Ageing is in large Stockinger foudres and concrete to avoid wood imprint. The 2023 vintage is noted for its freshness and precision: intense dark berry and blue fruit, violets, Mediterranean scrub and graphite, with a very long, saline finish. It’s a Priorat that thinks like a northern Rhône cru in texture, but with unmistakable slate drive.

Tasting Note

2023 shows deep fruit but remarkable freshness, with black and blue berries, florals and herbal notes over a vertical, llicorella-mineral palate, supported by fine, almost Burgundian tannins.

In the glass

Deep but not opaque ruby-violet.

In the nose

Blackberry, blackcurrant, violets, rosemary, black olive tapenade and crushed slate.

On the palate

Focused and vertical; dark fruits and herbs, very fine yet firm tannins and a long, salty, stony finish.

Terroir al Límit

Terroir al Límit, led by Dominik Huber, brought a Burgundian sensibility to Priorat: whole clusters, gentle extractions and large neutral vessels. The wines are lighter on their feet than classic blockbusters, but no less profound – redder fruit, floral lift and a cool, stony backbone. It’s a benchmark for elegant, site-transparent Priorat.
