About this wine

Terra de Cuques Blanc blends roughly 60–70% Garnatxa Blanca with 30–40% Pedro Ximénez from 25–30-year-old vines around La Morera, at 400–600 m. Grapes are farmed biodynamically, given a short maceration and fermented with native yeasts in concrete, where the wine also ages on lees. The 2023 shows a savoury, mineral profile: citrus and stone fruit with anise, dried herbs and a subtle bitter twist, all carried by brisk acidity and a long, salty finish.

Tasting Note

Luis Gutiérrez notes a clean, mineral and savoury white with herbal and balsamic nuances, excellent freshness and length; James Suckling adds lemon peel, white peach and wet stone with a crisp, mouth-watering finish.

In the glass

Pale straw with green highlights.

In the nose

Lemon, white peach, fennel, chamomile, bay leaf and crushed stone.

On the palate

Medium-bodied but very fresh; citrus and stone fruit with savoury herbs, gentle phenolic grip and a long, saline finish.

Terroir al Límit

Terroir al Límit, led by Dominik Huber, brought a Burgundian sensibility to Priorat: whole clusters, gentle extractions and large neutral vessels. The wines are lighter on their feet than classic blockbusters, but no less profound – redder fruit, floral lift and a cool, stony backbone. It’s a benchmark for elegant, site-transparent Priorat.
