About this wine

Made from old-vine Tinta de Toro on the stony soils of Toro, Pintia 2019 combines very ripe black fruit with floral high notes, cocoa, licorice and a mineral undercurrent. Despite 15% alcohol, it retains freshness thanks to early picking and a proportion of élevage in stainless steel to preserve fruit. The palate is full-bodied and structured but wrapped in silky tannins, with a long, savoury finish.

Tasting Note

Ripe blackberries, tar, dark cherries, dark spices and fine cocoa powder; rich and full-bodied with a saline snap, vertical fine-grained tannins and a long, powerful yet refined finish.

Opaque, inky purple.

In the nose

Blackberries, black cherry, violets, cocoa, tar and sweet toasted oak.

On the palate

Full-bodied, dense dark fruit, firm but polished tannins, savoury minerality and a very long, powerful finish.
