About this wine

Barolo del Comune di La Morra is sourced from four of Voerzio’s best vineyards, harvested slightly earlier than his single-cru bottlings to emphasise freshness and balance. The 2016 vintage brings lifted aromas of dried strawberry, rose, asphalt and subtle meatiness, leading to a palate that is both rich and agile. The wine combines sweet, ripe fruit with bright acidity and refined tannins, making it unusually approachable while retaining serious ageing potential.

Roberto Voerzio

Roberto Voerzio is one of the most revered winemakers of Italy’s Piedmont region, and a defining figure for the appellation of Barolo. Born in 1952 in the village of La Morra, in the Langhe hills, he grew up among vineyards and cellars as his family had been working the land for generations.
