About this wine

Ysios Grano a Grano 2019 is produced from old-vine Tempranillo in Rioja Alavesa, where berries are painstakingly selected by hand “grape by grape” before fermentation. The wine ferments in small wooden vats or concrete and is then aged in French oak barrels, resulting in a concentrated yet finely textured Rioja with black fruit, balsamic lift and spicy, mineral nuances. It represents the estate’s most artisanal, terroir-driven expression and is intended for long ageing.

Opaque, inky ruby with a youthful purple rim.

Ysios is a relatively modern winery in Rioja Alavesa, known as much for its striking architecture as for its terroir-focused Tempranillo.
